Winter Outerwear Pieces Worth the Investment

Winter is almost here. Depending on where you are located you may be thinking about what styles of clothing you will wear when the temperatures drop. Outwear ear has the power to transform your outfit and complete your look. During this time of year you may choose to have a few on your rotation or opt for a single style. Check out these outwear pieces that can help you brave the cold weather in a chic way.

1. Camel Coat

A camel coat is a timeless wardrobe staple that you can wear for years to come. This style can add a touch of class and sophistication to any winter outfit. The long lines of this piece give off a more tailored and streamlined look. Check out this option.

2. Belted Wool Coat

Belted coat styles are a great option to have in your wardrobe. This is one of my favorite pieces to wear when I want to look chic and brave the cold temperatures. You can achieve greater definition in your waist area by tying the belt that comes along with it. See a similar option here.

3. Patterned Coat

During the winter it is easy to gravitate toward wearing a classic black coat. If you want to try something different a style featuring a subtle pattern may be the right option for you. I've had this coat in my wardrobe for over a decade. I can wear it with just about anything in my closet -making it a tried and true staple. Take a look this one.

4. Teddy Coat

If you are looking to add an unexpected twist to your outwear the teddy coat is the way to go. This style comes in a variety of different colors, however I chose a neutral color that would work with more clothing pieces from my wardrobe. Given the volume of this style of coat I recommend you wear it with clothing pieces that have clean lines to strike greater balance in your outfit. Check out this one.

5. Velvet Blazer

Wearing a velvet blazer is a great alternative to wearing one that is seasonless. This garment can be worn in a variety of ways. For the office, style it over a sleeveless dress or with a blouse and pair of slacks. You can also wear it on the weekends over a flowy maxi dress with a pair of combat boots. This one may catch your eye.
